The Academy has worked cooperatively with various bodies to ensure that only the most experienced professionals are included in our member roster. Note though that there are no formal certification requirements for the private practice of mediation or arbitration in Nebraska.
Nebraska Judicial Branch - Office of Dispute Resolution
The Office of Dispute Resolution was created as part of the 1991 Dispute Resolution Act. Since the creation of the Office of Dispute Resolution over 80,000 people have been served statewide. Mediation is available in all 93 counties of Nebraska. The Office of Dispute Resolution (ODR) partners with Nebraska's nonprofit mediation centers and the Douglas County District Court Conciliation and Mediation Office to provide mediation and dispute resolution to Nebraska's courts and citizens. Nebraska Mediation Association
The Nebraska Mediation Association's mission is to be a statewide network of mediators which develops, implements, and sustains quality conflict resolution, mediation, and consensus building. The NMA promotes mediation, and supports and provides training and educational opportunities for all mediators in the State of Nebraska. Through this member network, NMA provides links, resources, and enhanced opportunities among mediation professionals. Visit NMA at www.nemediation.org.
